Well, as weeks go last week was a true nail biter – in a good way that is.  As many of you may know, Wifarer’s mother ship is currently in beautiful Victoria, Canada, which is rapidly growing into quite a significant tech hub. Last week, we were recognized by our peers by being awarded the “ViaTech Innovative Excellence” Award for 2011. It was quite a thrill.

Many of you have been asking where and when you can start using the system. The answer is now and at the following locations:

• The John Marshall Law School in Chicago
• The Shops at the Prudential Center in Boston
• The Royal BC Museum in Victoria

Although, by and large, these venues still have to add their content to the system, indoor positioning and navigating is a reality. So for those of you with Android phones who live close to these locations, please download the app and give it a try. We’d love to hear your feedback and thoughts.

Over the next six months, we are scheduled to add many many more locations and we’ll use your feedback to improve the system. So feel free to drop us a line and let us know what you think.
